So today I was outside on the balcony fanning charcoal for our bbq when this dude to the left balcony to ours just pops up outta no where. He didn’t say anything at first and I just minded my own business and continued fanning. But then suddenly he just said: “Excuse me?” And asked me if I was doing bbq and I replied a simple “yes”. Then he kept quiet and again suddenly asked me where I was from, asking me if I was from Kerala (a place in India) or something, I didn’t tell him my nationality. And just replied “no”, and just kept fanning.I didn’t think he was creepy at first, I thought he was being a good neighbor. He was out with his phone and earphones, and I thought he was listening to the radio since you had to come out of the apartment to get good reception without static. But then I noticed whenever my mom came outside he’d hide or go back into his apartment. And when my mom went back in the apartment, he’d come back again. Then he just called me with a “psst” and I looked up and he asked me for my number.

And that’s when things went south, well at least for him.

I got really creeped out by that, and pretended I didn’t hear his request. I went back in, holding a bunch of things to make it seem I was going to return them. Then I told my mom, and she freaked out and said: “See! Even if people see a 14-year old girl, their penis already stands straight up.” Then she ran to my dad and told him . My dad went into the balcony and started shouting at the man in Hindi (a language he knows eventhough no one in the family is from India or Pakistan) telling him, “You want a number? How ‘bout I give you mine?!” he said. Then my dad went out of the apartment and told me to lock the door. Then my mom proceeded to the balcony and shouted at him too- saying, “What problem do you have?! Leave my daughter alone!!”

My dad went to the reception downstairs and called the landlord and his security. They all came up and were shouting at the man next door. Actually, there were three men in the apartment, the man who I had seen had locked himself in the bathroom and someone else had come out explaining that it was just a misunderstanding. My dad screamed, “I have been in this flat for 5 years and I have never seen this kind of person! He should be arrested!” in Hindi. The security and landlord was trying desperately to calm him down. I wasn’t out but I could hear everything through the door. Then he came back in, and we continued our bbq. We ate and we’re all full. No one spoke about it, my dad got drunk on vodka and my mom’s watching a movie.

I don’t know… this hasn’t happened to me in a while, a bunch of years? I don’t know why I shared this in the first place but I guess that main point is, if you don’t like anything that’s happening, it’s better to stop it immediately, I guess? Especially this sort of thing. I’ve been told to be really careful by my parents alot since well… my body is … um, kinda well… idk might be considered attractive to other men because of my chest yes im extremely busty so my parents have warned me alot.
